Sorry late news but hey ho!
Lesser Spotted Woodpecker flushed from the middle of the lakes from the willows then flew over towards the main woods by the exit to the site, i tried for 2 hours to get a shot or even see the bird again but no luck.

Did speak to the warden again and he said they and a few fisherman have heard "a Woodpecker" a few day before calling but not sure which spp.

I can say one thing it was most defo a LSW that flew from the willow and across the lake so great news *smile*
Oh and no GSW seen or heard which is a good sign.

Other birds to note just 2 Egyptian Goose for the lincs listers *wink*

Will be keeping an eye & ear out...
